PCIe x8 NIC in PCIe x16 slot

It means the slot has 16X physical width but it will only run at 4X electrical bandwidth This is one of those combo boards that mixes outdated

Have you also tried to put your video card in second long PCIe slot? Does the card show as x8 when you do that? If yes
